TabTribe helps travellers split shared expenses, scan receipts, calculate currency conversions, allocate tips and taxes, and track settlement between people.
TabTribe stores trip, person, receipt, expense, currency, split, and settlement information on your device for local-only use. When you choose shared-trip features, TabTribe may store account profile information, shared trip membership, shared expenses, invite status, and settlement records in our secure database so invited trip members can access the same trip.
TabTribe uses receipt information to help create itemised expenses. Receipt images stay on your device by default.
Structured receipt data β line items, amounts, tax totals β may be stored locally or synced for shared trips when you choose to enable cloud sharing. We never upload receipt photos to our servers without a deliberate action from you.
TabTribe uses your Contacts only when you choose people to add to Friends & Family for local trip splitting. TabTribe does not upload your full address book, and contact data is never shared with third parties.
TabTribe tracks settlement status only. It does not:
When you mark something as settled, that record stays within TabTribe and is not sent to any payment processor.
Trip analytics are generated locally from your own trip data. Any future backend analytics will use aggregated, de-identified data and will be disclosed clearly in an updated version of this policy before release.
You can request account deletion at any time by contacting support. Account deletion removes or anonymises:
Shared trip expense data that other trip members still need is anonymised rather than deleted outright, so their records remain accurate.
